There are many reasons why you'd want a have brakes on your touring skis... most common is the desire to keep your skis nearby during a transition and not see it plummet down that beautiful couloir you're about to ski, or even just to make your in-bounds gear resort friendly!
Plum has optional brakes for their Guide and Yak series bindings. When you are switching to a new pair of skis and need a different width, these are what you need! If you are looking to add a brake to your previously un-braked Guide or Yak, you'll need a new baseplate which will retrofit in the existing holes.
